Melissa Skovira of the Fort Hays State tennis team has been selected to be a part of the National Student Athletic Advisory Committee for NCAA Division II. Skovira is a junior from Parker, Colo., majoring in Health & Human Performance.

The national SAAC committee consists of 23 NCAA Division II multi-sport voting conferences, as well as one representative for independent institutions, and two at-large representatives. As a member of NCAA Division II SAAC, Skovira will act as a liason for campus, conference, and national events. Skovira can serve up to a 3-year term. Each member of the Division II SAAC committee is responsible for relaying messages across their campus and conference. The committee as a whole speaks on behalf of Division II student-athletes to the NCAA.
