Lady Tigers Compete at Sam Williams Twilight Qualifier

In its last chance to qualify for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships, the Fort Hays State women's track and field team traveled to Emporia, Kan. on Saturday (May 12) to compete at the Sam Williams Twilight Qualifier.
 
Anna Eigruber hit a provisional mark in the long jump, going 18-9.25 in the event to place third. The mark is just off her season-best jump of 19-1.5, which ranks 29th this season in Division II.
 
Holly Brown barely missed a provision mark in the javelin where Brown threw 129-0. She is currently 15th in the country with a 140-2 provisional mark achieved at the Fort Hays State Open.
 
Gabriella Saravia also barely missed out on a provisional mark. She went 5-5 in the high jump. Saravia was two inches off her season-best height of 5-7, which is a provisional mark and ranks 27th this season.
 
The Tigers now prepare for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in Pueblo, Colo. The Championships start on May 24 and run through May 26.
